Android Installation

Noize runs on Android 6.0+ devices. Follow these steps to install it.

1

Download the APK

Head to our GitHub Releases page and download the latest .apk file for your device architecture (arm64 recommended for most modern phones).

2

Enable Unknown Sources

Open your phone's Settings → Security (or Apps & notifications) and enable "Install unknown apps" for your file manager or browser. This allows installing apps outside the Play Store.

3

Install & Launch

Open the downloaded APK file and tap Install. Once installed, launch Noize from your app drawer. You're all set — enjoy your music ad-free!

Windows Installation

Noize is distributed as an MSIX package for Windows 10 and above.

1

Download the MSIX Package

Visit GitHub Releases and download the latest .msix file for Windows.

2

Enable Sideloading

Open Settings → Update & Security → For developers (or Settings → System → For developers on Windows 11) and enable Developer Mode or Sideload apps. This allows installing apps distributed outside the Microsoft Store.

3

Install the Certificate (if prompted)

If the package is self-signed, you may need to install the signing certificate first. Right-click the .msix file → Properties → Digital Signatures → select the signature → Details → View Certificate → Install Certificate. Choose Local Machine and place it in the Trusted People store.

4

Install & Launch

Double-click the .msix file to open the App Installer. Click Install and wait for it to finish. Once installed, find Noize in your Start Menu and launch it — you're all set!

Linux Installation

Noize is available as a portable binary for Linux distributions.

1

Download the Linux Build

Visit GitHub Releases and download the latest Linux archive (e.g. .tar.gz or .zip).

2

Extract & Run

Extract the archive to your preferred location. Open a terminal in the extracted folder and run ./noize to launch the app. Make sure the file has execute permissions (chmod +x noize).

3

Optional: Create a Desktop Entry

For convenient access, create a .desktop file in ~/.local/share/applications/ pointing to the Noize executable. This will add Noize to your application launcher.
